Snow is tough. If it was July and the forecast was a quarter inch of rain then turned to just sprinkles then back to a quarter inch of rain would you really notice?
But in December that same situation goes from 4 inches to flurries to 4 inches.
its funny watching all the forecasters dancing around with numbers last night, but all you had to do was look at the radar to see that the metro was going to get higher totals then 1-3".Its even funnier that they are all trying to beat everyone to the punch on the new years storm, saying things like potential for monster storm, ice storm then heavy snow, watch it all goes south just to come north again, dont you love weather!
Paul Douglas was on this Wednesday night. He showed the GFS model which was putting more snow over the metro.
ReplyDeleteTrue, but not before he (or his stand in) had declared "just flurries" or something to that affect.
